Joyful Christmas

Hi All,
I wanted to share the Christmas card that I am going to present at my next Stamping Club. I wanted to use some of my favorite new products from the Holiday Mini. Check it out:

I used the Joyful Christmas stamp set and my heat and stick power and added the Gold Glitter to it and then "fussy cut" the poinsettia out. I ran the Cherry Cobbler in the Big Shot with my Petals a Plenty EF and used the new Gold foil as the background. I used a piece of Stitched Gumball ribbon to match my base of Gumball Green cardstock. I added the sentiment from Joyful Christmas and cut it out with the Apothecary Accents. Here is a close up:

I love the shine from using the Gold Encore ink on the sentiment. Hope they like it as much as I do!

CAS for club

Morning All,
I had a chance to make a post about a card I made for my upcoming club night. I had gone on over to CAS colour and sketch challenge and they had this great sketch:

I thought the diagonal lines would work perfectly for what I had in mind:

I used a base of Summer Startfruit (one of the newest in colors), a layer of Early Espresso and Old Olive topped by a layer of Afternoon Picnic. Then I did a strip of the Victorian ribbon and the Thankful sentiment from the expressions thinlits and I was done. Hope the club enjoys the layout!
Have a great day!

Just Sharing

Hi All,
Am home today a bit under the weather and as I have little to no motivation to get up I thought I would post some of the scrapbooking pages I have been working on. I know I haven't been as consistent with some of my posts and part of the reason is that I am trying to put together a scrapbook for my better half as part of his Christmas present. This past weekend we all went to the corn maze in Ipswich and I was extremely motivated to complete these particular pages even though I haven't touched the Disney trip! Without further adieu:

I used the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DP, the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and Cannery Framelits and the Oval Framelits set. I punched out some pumpkins with the circle and bird punch and I was done. Love the Fall colors! Hope he likes it!!

Crazy night!

Evening All,
What a crazy day and even crazier night! It must be a full moon! Between work and home I am sure something is a miss! Anyway I definitely couldn't settle down tonight until I spent a few minutes in my craft room trying to finish some "Thank You's" that I needed. Of course I was fresh out of inspiration until I went on over to Freshly Made Sketches as they had another great sketch:

I modified the design slightly to suit my needs and here is what I came up with:

I used some of my retired favorites that I had actually already cut for another project that never came to be but worked perfectly for this one! Love when that happens! A little Spice Cake DP, Early Espresso ribbon a button and I was done! I am happy with how my little "diversion" turned out! Have a great night!

September Thank You's

Hi All,
Well I was able to squeeze in a little crafting today and made my September Thank You's for my stamp club. I needed a Fall motif as today is the first day of Fall!! So hard to believe! So I reached for an old favorite stamp set of mine French Foliage. Check it out:

I put the card on my windowsill as I hoped it would be easier to see the shine from the Gold Encore ink that I stamped on the River Rock paper that I had run through the Lacy Brocade EF. I layer some Comfort Cafe paper on Early Espresso after stamping my leaves in Gold. Finally I placed a piece of Early Espresso Tulle around the card. Now back to the game!

Freshly Made Birthday

Evening All,
I thought I would share a card that I made tonight for my Great Aunt's 102nd birthday. Yup you read it correctly, last weekend was my grandmothers 101st and this coming weekend its my Aunts turn! Great genes especially since they are on different sides of the family!! Anyway I was having a tough tough time coming up with a layout. So I went on over to Freshly Made Sketches and found another great sketch:

Here is what I came up with:

I used a base of River Rock, a layer of Cherry Cobbler and another layer of Soft Suede that I ran through the Lattice embossing folder. The Cherry Cobbler panel was layered on a piece of Comfort Cafe. I used the Gold Encore ink and my "Wonderful, Favorite" stamp set. A button and some retired canvas ribbon and I was (finally) done. Hope she likes it!
Have a great night!

Yup I am still here

Hi All,
Sorry for the hiatus, been crazy busy at work and home. Finally had a chance to make a card, which was good as I needed a card for my grandmothers 101st b-day! First I needed some inspiration, which I found at CAS Colour and Sketches sketch challenge. Here is their great sketch:

And here is what I came up with:

I mixed some retired and new products. I used a base of Pool Party, Everyday Enchantment and Well Scripted for the sentiment. I used the new Silver Stamping Glitter for the sentiment. I love that I am getting a little more confident using the heat and stick powder, as the end result is very sharp. Hope she enjoys the card. Thanks for stopping by.

Open Sleigh

Hi All,
I was actually able to get some extra crafting time in today and finished my sister's Christmas Cards. Here is what I came up with:

I heat embossed the sleigh from the Open Sleigh set in Pewter and layered it on the Labels Framelits. I used the canvas ribbon on layers of DP, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. I love how heat embossing an image can make a simple card elegant! Have a great week!

A little Halloween fun

Hi All,
I got a request from my sister to make some holiday cards. So I surfed around a little bit and decided just a simple layout with a fun theme would fit the bill for her Halloween cards. Here is what I came up with:

I took the picture by my window to see if the shine from the Silver Encore Ink pad would show up. I used that ink on the spiders and the word "Spooky" from the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set. I added the spider web with the new chalk marker on the basic black paper, A little left over DP, ribbon and I was done. Cute don't you think?
Have a great day!

Here is what I came up with:

I changed the orientation of the card for my needs then I used the Northern Flurry EF for the strip, some Rhinestones and my new favorite Silver Encore Ink! I love the combo of blue and brown with a touch of silver on Christmas cards! Well off for another busy day! Enjoy your Labor Day!
