Freshly Made Obsession!

Evening All,
I finally had a chance to finish a card I started the other night. I am still woefully behind on my "Thank You's" so I had decided to check out the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and of course they did not disappoint! Check out their sketch:

I really loved the possibilities. Here is what I came up with:

I have been obsessed with this carriage stamp that I borrowed from a friend so I used it again on my cards along with my favorite retired set; Short and Sweet. I used a base of soon to retire Gumball Green, some soon to retire Afternoon Picnic DP, some pearls a button and Bakers twine and I was good to go! Hope you all have a great night!

Better late than never!

Evening All,
Well later post than I had planned but at least I finished three cards!! Course I started days ago!! Needless to say I missed the awesome challenge deadline over at Pals Paper Arts but I still used their great sketch:

PPA205_May_22

Here is what I came up with:

I needed more Thank You's  and a "Welcome Baby" card for a co-worker. I used some of my soon to retire Gumball Green, with Afternoon Picnic DP and some pieces of Very Vanilla that I ran through the Big Shot with my Vintage EF. I used the image that I borrowed from a friend and frankly cant wait until my order from the new catty gets here as there is an adorable baby set that coordinates with framelits! Perfect for all my thank you's and scrapbooking that I have to do!! Though I am a bit sad to see some of my favorites go. If your like me then run on over to Stampin Up and check out their retirement blow out!! Its up to 50% off!!!
Have a great night!

Use your scraps!

Hi All,
I wanted to share a few cards I made yesterday after being inspired by a sketch I saw over at Try Stamping on Tuesday. I knew that I had a few pieces of Floral District DP left and wanted to use it up (one less thing in the nursery!). So here are what I came up with:

I used the Itty Bitty Banners and framelits and different ribbons. Love adding to my stash! Thanks for stopping by!

Try stamping three days in a row!!

Hi All,
Well I am super proud of myself as I have been able to stamp the past few days in a row, add to my card stash AND clean out the nursery for a bit of a make over!! Today I needed a birthday card for my step daughter to take to a party. I had seen a great sketch the other day at Try Stamping on Tuesday and knew that I would have to use it. Check it out:

I thought this would be perfect for all the different DP that I wanted to use! Here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Razzleberry and a number of strips of paper from my Floral District DP that I had saved, the Bitty Banners stamp set and coordinating framelits and some polka dot Razzleberry ribbon. A few butterflies with rhinestones and I was done! My step daughter loved it and I hope her friend does too!
Don't forget the clock is ticking away on the 2013-14 Stampin Up catalog! Email me with any of your wish lists!
Thanks for stopping by!

Love a good sketch!

Morning All,
Well in keeping with most of my Friday night's I did a bit of laundry and clean up but I also crafted a little. I am trying to pad my "stash" of "Thank You" cards, as I still have quite a few to send out. So I had gone on over to the Friday Mash Up and I really loved their sketch and challenge:

Sketch by: Lisa

Here's your Mashup Challenge:

  1. Create a project using the above "Sketch".
  2. Create a " Get Well" Project.
  3. or Mash it Up and create a "Get Well project using the Sketch".
I decided to "mash it up" as I also need to build up my "get well" stash so here is what I came up with:

I used some of the pieces I had left of my Floral District DP, my Thoughts and Prayers stamp set (yeah not retiring!) and the soon to retire "Betsy's Blooms" set. I love the "pop" you get when you combine Razzleberry with Old Olive1 A little of my favorite ribbon (yeah also NOT retiring!!) and I was done!! However, I really liked the sketch so I did a few "Thank You" cards as well. Here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Pool Party, some of my Sweet Sorbet DP, ran a panel of Pool Party through the decorative dots DF, stamped the sentiment with one of my all time favorites "Short and Sweet" and lightly stamped a background with "Packed for Baby" stamp set. Great sketch, especially if your like me and hoard all your favorite DP scraps!! Remember you only have until June 2nd to get your favorites while they last!! Have a great day!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge

Morning All,
Sorry for the quiet week, I have been very busy trying to organize all the baby clothes we received! We are extremely lucky to have such great friends and family! I seriously don't think I have to buy my new addition anything but socks for the next four years!! Trouble is storing it all!! Lol!! Anyway I needed to send some "Thank You's" to the people who sent us all these clothes and I needed a sketch so I went on over to Pals Paper Arts and they had another great sketch
5-15Sketch204

And here is what I came up with:

I had one lonely piece of So Saffron hiding in the back of my scraps pile and I thought it looked great with the Sweet Sorbet DP from Saleabration. I ran the piece of Crisp Cantaloupe through the Big Shot with the soon to retire Lattice EF and punched out the baby carriage stamp I borrowed from a friend after embossing it in Pool Party. There is a thank you sentiment inside from the Wonderful Favorites set that is also soon to retire (Love all the sentiments it has!).

I also wanted to let you all know that many items are soon to retire and, in fact, many have sold out!! Stampin Up recently was able to get more of the soon to retire in-color cardstock in case your still looking. They are as follows:

A little time for mom

Evening All,
I decided I better get a move on with making my Mother's Day card, especially since she helps out a lot with my step kids! Pretty great huh?? Anyhow I saw this wonderful sketch over at CAS Colour and Sketches Blog. Check it out:

Here is what I came up with:

I used some of the beautiful Sweet Sorbet DP from Saleabration, the Scallop EF, and my favorite white ribbon. A few punches and a stamp I happened to have in my collection and I was good. I hope my mom really likes it!
Have a great night!

Back to the land of the living!!

Evening All,
Well after one of the sickest weeks I can remember on record I am actually starting to be able to do more then move from the couch to the bed and back! Yeah me! Wow this has been one nasty bout! Anyhow I had tons of time to surf this week, as that was the most strenuous activity I could tolerate, and I saw this great sketch at The Paper Players. Check it out:

And here is what I came up with:

I am in need of some Thank You cards and decided that my pieces of Sweet Sorbet DP would be perfect! I had a base of Pool Party and ran the Whisper White through the stripes embossing folder (sadly soon to retire) and used some candy dots for some interest. I borrowed this sweet carriage stamp from a friend and heat embossed it in Pool Party. Fun sketch! Thanks for stopping by!
