Dynamic Birthday

Hi All,
Finally had a few moments to post one of my cards! What a week! Anyway I needed a card for my fathers birthday and was a little "stuck". So I went on over to the Dynamic Duo's Challenge to see what their color combo of the week was. Check it out:
I love all shades of blue so I jumped right on it. Here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Bashful Blue and did a layer of white, Midnight Muse and Presto Paper with Bashful Blue ink on it. A little Bashful Blue ribbon, some Midnight Muse butterflies and the sentiment from the Curly Cute soon to retire set. Hope he likes it.
Have a good day!

Friday err Saturday Mash up!

Evening All,
I had a few minutes tonight to try my hand at one of my favorite card challenges. I went on over to the Friday Mashup and they had a cool new challenge:
Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project using "A Monochromatic Color Scheme".
  2. Create a project "using Baker's Twine".
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a "Monochromatic project using some Baker's Twine".
I actually intended to"mash" it up and use Bakers Twine but ended up with liking another accessory and stayed with the monochromatic theme. Check it out:
I used my water color crayons on water color paper on the Swallow tail stamp all in shades of blue (Baja Breeze, Marina Mist and Night of Navy). After coloring and stamping I put a little iridescent ice embossing power for extra sparkle! Though I am not sure you can see that in the picture. A little Baja Breeze pleated ribbon and one of the sentiments from Just Believe.
Hope you enjoy it!

freshly made comfort cafe

Evening All,
I wanted to share a card I made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week. Here is their challenge sketch:

And here is my take on it:

I used the soon to retire Comfort Cafe DP on a Soft Suede and Midnight Muse base, added a greeting from the Curly Cute set and heat embossed it in Pool Party (So LOVE that that color is staying!!). A little seam binding and I was done! Love how the blues "pop" on the suede. Hope you all like it!
Have a great night!

French Foliage

Evening All,
Thought I would share a card I made for my upcoming "retirement" party. I chose to use one of my all time favorite stamps sets "French Foliage" The detail alone lends itself to so many options!
I used River Rock as my base, added some Soft Suede and Comfort Cafe DP for my layers. I used the Pursuit of Happiness set for my greeting on the Labels Framelits  with some Bakers Twine. Hope you can see it but I heat embossed the leaves with Early Espresso power and then used the Frost Shimmer paint over it for a "glimmer" effect. Love that technique! Well off to get ready for another week!
Happy Mothers Day!

SAS Happy Birthday

Evening All,
I wanted to share the last of the three cards that I am going to be offering at my upcoming SAS. I put together a "Happy Birthday" card with more of the color combo that I love: Crumb Cake and Night of Navy. I really love all shades of blue and brown together!! Here it is:
I used the Triple Treat Flower, inked it in Crumb Cake and "tapped" my Night of Navy marker on it to give it the two tone variation. I added some of my Blueberry Crisp DP and the perfect little banner an I was done! Hope you have a great night!

SAS Get Well

Hi All,
I wanted to share the second card that we will be doing at my next Stamp a Stack. It is a Get Well card that uses the beautiful set "Thoughts and Prayers". I combined it with the retired DP "Presto Paper" and sponged that with Baja Breeze. Check it out:
I used the Lattice Folder on the cardfront as I loved the look when the grid on the Presto Paper was revealed with the ink. A piece of Baja Breeze Seam Binding and I was done. Don't you love the "pop" of black with the light blue??!
Thanks for stopping by!

SAS Thank You

Hi All
I wanted to share a clean and simple "Thank You" that I plan on doing as part of an upcoming Stamp A Stack. It uses some of my favorite DP of all time "Everyday Enchantment"! I combined the colors that are in that DP with River Rock, great look! Check it out:
I just realized that the picture is a bit tilted! One of those weeks! Anyway I used River Rock in to stamp the coordinating floral image on the main cardstock. The "Thank You" is from Just Because" and works nicely layered in the oval punch. A little vanilla ribbon and its done! Have a great day!

We have searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping. And we've found it. We're excited to announce that we now have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps! The new photopolymer will be an addition to our stamp line and will appeal to all types of stampers. Our top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let's just say they're meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.

What makes them so great?

  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice.

Mother of Pearl

Morning All,
I wanted to share a quick card I made last night before I run off to work. I have wanted to try the mother of pearl technique for a while and finally sat down last night and did so. I chose to use the soon to retire "Elements of Style" stamp set, perfect for this and paired it with a few retiring colors. Here is the end result:
I haven't quite mastered the new pc so I wasn't able to get a close up but I hope you can see the shine on the card! Love it!! After running the Butterflies Dies through the Big Shot, you stamp in Staz On black ink and color the image. Then, using Saran wrap you dab some frost white shimmer paint, heat set and then sponge with your desired color, wiping off the excess. Super Easy!!! You also have to love River Rock paired with Early Espresso with Pretty in Pink. Hope you have a great Friday!
