CAS 46

Morning All,
Quick post before I head to work. Had a chance to make a congrats card for a co-worker who is retiring.....to Hawaii!! However, it got a little exciting here last night and I never got a chance to post it! I had gone on over to CAS colour and sketches blogspot and they had this awesome sketch:

And without further adieu here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Daffodil Delight, a layer of Rich Razzleberry and a piece of Floral District paper that I saved as I loved the patter. I popped out the window with my Apothecary Accents thinlits. Love that effect! Simple but elegant! Have a great day!

Thinking of You

Evening All,
I had a very eventful day having some minor day surgery but actually felt good enough to make a clean and simple "Thinking of You" card to round out my stamp a stack evening. I have been really trying to make the cards for those fun nights a little more streamlined and think I was successful with this trio. Check out my latest:
I grabbed some of my now retired Bashful Blue as the base, a layer of Crumb Cake, Naturals White and a piece of my ever favorite Everyday Elegance DP that I stocked up on when it was on the clearance rack (seriously love that about Stampin UP!!!). The sentiment was from the Curly Cute and a few punched butterflies and I was done. Hope the girls love it!
Have a great night!

Dynamic Birthday

Hi All,
Finally had a few moments to post one of my cards! What a week! Anyway I needed a card for my fathers birthday and was a little "stuck". So I went on over to the Dynamic Duo's Challenge to see what their color combo of the week was. Check it out:
I love all shades of blue so I jumped right on it. Here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Bashful Blue and did a layer of white, Midnight Muse and Presto Paper with Bashful Blue ink on it. A little Bashful Blue ribbon, some Midnight Muse butterflies and the sentiment from the Curly Cute soon to retire set. Hope he likes it.
Have a good day!

freshly made comfort cafe

Evening All,
I wanted to share a card I made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week. Here is their challenge sketch:

And here is my take on it:

I used the soon to retire Comfort Cafe DP on a Soft Suede and Midnight Muse base, added a greeting from the Curly Cute set and heat embossed it in Pool Party (So LOVE that that color is staying!!). A little seam binding and I was done! Love how the blues "pop" on the suede. Hope you all like it!
Have a great night!

Betsy's Blooms

Evening All,
I wanted to quickly post a card I made for my club. I used my Betsy's Blooms stamp set and the Floral District DP as I needed some bright, cheerful color! I also wanted to try something I saw on someones blog (my apologies as I cant find it again to give credit!) with a little deviation with the Labels Framelits. Here is what I came up with:
I love the bright colors of the Floral District DP!! Perfect after a dreary winter! I used Certainly Celery as my base and used Basic Black to help "pop" the Daffodil Delight DP. I then used the Labels Framelits and made a frame out of the Daffodil Delight that then framed the punch out on the Whisper White. Clear as mud right!!? I stamped the bird from Betsy's Blooms in Elegant Eggplant and cut him out so that he was peeking between the frames. Topped it off with a saying the Curly Cute set and its ready to go! Email with any questions!
Have a great night!

3.2.1.

Hi All,
Well I finally felt good enough to drag myself down to my crafting room to grab a few birthday cards I needed to mail and to try my hand at the challenge at Less is More.

it's a
RECIPE
3 - 2 - 1
This week we have a simple idea for you to use as the focus of your cards.
All that you need to do is to incorporate 3 of something, 2 of something and 1 of something else!

I was really intrigued at trying it out. Here is what I came up with:
I stamped three flowers from Betsy's blooms (three layers too!) and used two of the new colors Razz berry Ripple and Midnight Meuse (two words as well in the sentiment) and one Vintage Button with one piece of White Bakers Twine. Clean, simple and just plain fun!
Thanks for stopping by!
