Joyful Christmas

Hi All,
I wanted to share the Christmas card that I am going to present at my next Stamping Club. I wanted to use some of my favorite new products from the Holiday Mini. Check it out:

I used the Joyful Christmas stamp set and my heat and stick power and added the Gold Glitter to it and then "fussy cut" the poinsettia out. I ran the Cherry Cobbler in the Big Shot with my Petals a Plenty EF and used the new Gold foil as the background. I used a piece of Stitched Gumball ribbon to match my base of Gumball Green cardstock. I added the sentiment from Joyful Christmas and cut it out with the Apothecary Accents. Here is a close up:

 

 

I love the shine from using the Gold Encore ink on the sentiment. Hope they like it as much as I do!

Betsy's Blooms

Evening All,
I wanted to quickly post a card I made for my club. I used my Betsy's Blooms stamp set and the Floral District DP as I needed some bright, cheerful color! I also wanted to try something I saw on someones blog (my apologies as I cant find it again to give credit!) with a little deviation with the Labels Framelits. Here is what I came up with:

I love the bright colors of the Floral District DP!! Perfect after a dreary winter! I used Certainly Celery as my base and used Basic Black to help "pop" the Daffodil Delight DP. I then used the Labels Framelits and made a frame out of the Daffodil Delight that then framed the punch out on the Whisper White. Clear as mud right!!? I stamped the bird from Betsy's Blooms in Elegant Eggplant and cut him out so that he was peeking between the frames. Topped it off with a saying the Curly Cute set and its ready to go! Stamping 411

Morning All,
I hate to admit it but I have been avoiding my trip to the gym to do my exercises all morning! So I thought I would do try to turn the morning around by completing a very cool sketch challenge I found over at Stamping 411:

I need to start prepping early for my August club as I will leave on vaca soon after and thought this challenge card was perfect for my group:

I just love the cheerfulness of the Floral District DP and thought the Happy Hour set was called for once again! The Daffodil Delight stitched ribbon adds some nice texture as my center layer. I used my Bitty Banners Framelits and the coordinating "Itty Bitty Banners" stamp set new this year! Banners are so "in" right now for crafting and this set is perfect! The framelits make it so easy to add a quick banner to the project! I also decided to add some Crystal Effects to the drink glass and umbrella. Here is a close up:

It give it a nice 3D look as well as some added "shine". Thanks for stopping by!

Finally a "break"

Hi All,
Well it has been an interesting few days. Had an equine accident and fractured my wrist, ugh what a week! Anyway felt like making a card and wanted to see what I could do in a brace. I can tell you typing is TOUGH! Anyhow I had gone on over to stamping 411 and they had another great challenge:

Here is what I came up with:

I saw the three shapes and immediately thought of the cute owls. I decided to just run a ribbon across versus tie a bow. Overall the little owls made me laugh, hope it made you laugh to!

On a roll!

Hi All!
With (hopefully) the last rainy day here in New England I couldn't ride in my arena so I made another card for my card bouquet. I had gone on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had another awesome sketch

So here is what I came up with:

I used some of my left over Beyond the Garden and Pear Pizazz DP. I know its a little hard to tell but it has small "dots" all over it. I ran the center strip through the Polka Dots Embossing Folder and tied the new, beautiful Daffodil Delight stitched ribbon on top. Love the sentiments in the Pursuit of Happiness set! Very cheerful! Morning All (again!),
As much as I prefer the sunny days this rain gives me a reason to spend some "guilt free" time in my craft room. I had gone on over to Stampin Queens Blog and was really motivated by their sketch challenge:

I needed a third card for my stamp club next week and had a "block" for a design until I saw this sketch. This is what I came up with:

I am super happy with the result! I used the new set "Betsy's Blooms" for the bird, the Floral District DP and the new Daffodil Delight stitched ribbon (it is SO easy to work with!). Finally I used the two step Bird Punch for the leaves under the bird. 

Off to work on more household chores!
