Try Stamping!

Hi All,
Well as the name of my post suggests I just try to keep stamping! As usual I need more Thank You's and I really have to catch up so I can finish/start other projects. So I went on over to Try Stampin On Tuesdays blog and they had this great sketch:
And here is what I came up with:

As you can see I am at least trying to do more than one card at a time! I used a base of Whisper White, Some Everyday Enchantment DP I had left over and the Baby's Firsts Framelits, which I love! Some rhinestones for "bling" and I was done. I popped the carriage up on dimensionals for depth and stamped it with the Thank You from Short and Sweet.
Love it! Thanks for Stopping by!

Happy Labor Day

Morning All,
Happy Labor Day! I wanted to share a card that I finally finished this morning but started almost a week ago!! I had gone over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had this great sketch:

Here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Naturals White, with some left over pieces of Howlstooth and Scaringbone retired DP. I stamped the tree from Lovely as a Tree in craft ink and heat embossed it. I used some vanilla ribbon for the bow and pearls for the top right column. At least I have started some of my Fall crafting!!

Happy Halloween!....Again!

Hi All,
I have been on a crafting spree, which is good as I am, as usual, behind! I started focusing on my Grandmothers gifts as her 102nd birthday is also this coming September! I needed a sketch and went on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had a great sketch:

and here is what I came up with:

I used my Lacy Brocade EF, the retired Wicked Cool set, and some of my left over Howstooth & Scaringbone DP. I love the impact of the Silver Encore Ink with the bats! Hope she likes it!

Happy Thanksgiving??

Morning All,
I actually had yesterday off so I decided to get started on some of the gifts I need for my Great Aunt's upcoming 103 birthday this Fall. I typically make her Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards in the Summer so they are ready for her and figured I was getting a bit behind as its already the end of July!!! So I had gone on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had this great sketch:

And here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Very Vanilla, some stripes of Cherry Cobbler that I ran through my Lacy Brocade EF, some Soft Suede and some pieces of Comfort Café that I held onto. A little Bakers Twine and I was done! Hope she likes them!

A little birthday fun!

Evening All,
I wanted to share some cards I made for my friends' mothers' birthday celebration. She needed some extra and figured I could help and after these past few days filled with surgery and the stomach bug I was ready for a little distraction! I went on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday blog and they had a great sketch:

They had a great twist "Something that makes you happy". Well when doesn't a birthday card make you happy?? So here is my take:

I love the now retired "Sunflower" stamp (they are a happy flower) and I paired it with the sentiment from the newly retired Simple Sketched hostess set. I used a base of Naturals white, some More Mustard that I ran through my Lattice EF and some pieces of Howlstooth and Scaringbone DP that I hung onto. I cut out the image using my Labels Framelits and I was done!
Hope she likes them!

Try stamping three days in a row!!

Hi All,
Well I am super proud of myself as I have been able to stamp the past few days in a row, add to my card stash AND clean out the nursery for a bit of a make over!! Today I needed a birthday card for my step daughter to take to a party. I had seen a great sketch the other day at Try Stamping on Tuesday and knew that I would have to use it. Check it out:

I thought this would be perfect for all the different DP that I wanted to use! Here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Razzleberry and a number of strips of paper from my Floral District DP that I had saved, the Bitty Banners stamp set and coordinating framelits and some polka dot Razzleberry ribbon. A few butterflies with rhinestones and I was done! My step daughter loved it and I hope her friend does too!
Don't forget the clock is ticking away on the 2013-14 Stampin Up catalog! Email me with any of your wish lists!
Thanks for stopping by!

Try Stampin Challenge

Morning All,
Have some paperwork to do but wanted to update my blog with a card I made for Try Stamping on Tuesday's weekly challenge. Here is their sketch this week:

Their twist was to add a photo if you wished. I decided that I wanted to use the layout for a sympathy card I wanted to offer in a future class so I omitted the photo. Here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Soft Suede and layers of Early Espresso and Comfort Café to coordinate with the Very Vanilla. I used the hostess stamp set Simply Sketched and water colored the flower with my regals crayons and blended the colors with my blender pens (one of my favorite tools!). A little Early Espresso ribbon and I was done! Thanks for stopping by!

Try Stamping on Tuesday 160

Evening All,
Sorry for the little hiatus! Been a bit busy, as usual! Anyway I thought I should take a few minutes in my craft room and play along with Try Stamping on Tuesday's  challenge of the day. Check out their great sketch:

They added a cool twist of making it "masculine". Here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Naturals White, a layer of Soft Suede and added a layer of some Comfort Café DP. I used my favorite stand by set of Lovely as a Tree and the sentiment came from the hostess set Simply Sketched. I love the clean look! Hope you have a great night!

Try Stamping!

Evening All,
I was able to sneak a little time to myself tonight and make another card for my upcoming class. I had gone on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had a great sketch:

I changed up the stripes a little bit and here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Pool Party (love that blue!!) and added a layer of Smokey Slate and Basic Grey. I used the Winter Frost DP for the main panel and heat embossed the tree from Lovely as a Tree in Silver Glitter. I added the silver ribbon from the Christmas mini and Rhinestones for some added bling. Love the sparkle! Hope you have a great night!

Try a little Christmas

Morning All,
I wanted to share a card I made which was inspired by the sketch over at Try Stamping on Tuesday. Here is the cool sketch:

I needed to get moving on my Great Aunt's Christmas cards and thought that this sketch was a great jumping off point.  Here is what I came up with:
I had some great pieces of the Holly Berry DP that fit this layout perfectly! I used the (retired) ornament punch and one of my favorite sentiments Short and Sweet. Only 50 more cards to go! Lol! Have a great day!

Merry Thursday!!

Evening All!
Are you sensing a theme with my posts?? I am in crunch time to try and finish my great aunts Christmas cards and am just about done thank goodness! I was in a a little slump as to the next design until I went on over to Try Stamping On Tuesday and was inspired by their great sketch:
Here is what I came up with:
I used some of my all time favorite Christmas DP "Deck the Halls" added a tag, a few different sentiments that I had as I couldn't decide which one I liked better! A little Quilted ribbon across a band of Always Artichoke. Very vintage and very me!
Hope you have a great day!

Try Stamping On.....Thursday!

Hi All,
I wanted to share another Halloween card I made yesterday based off of the great sketch at Try Stamping on Tuesday:
I thought it offered a lot of great possibilities. So here is what I came up with:
I love how "clean" this card came out! I used one of my favorite Halloween stamp sets "Spooky Bingo Bits"! It has so many possibilities! The Designer Frames works perfectly with these stamps, you can fit them in without overlap. I punched out the sentiment and popped it up on dimensionals. Off to work!

Try Stamping in this HEAT!

Morning All,
Now that I am on "Summer Vacation" I have been flat out with projects but none of the crafting kind!! I am pleased with the progress I have made not to mention the little bit of extra cash selling unused horse equipment and toys! So this morning I decided that I needed to switch my focus for a little bit and complete my final card for my vintage Stamp a Stack coming up. I had gone on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had another great sketch:

Here is what I came up with:
I love the Everyday Enchantment DP even though it is sadly retired!! Well off to work!
Thanks for stopping by!

On a roll!

Hi All!
With (hopefully) the last rainy day here in New England I couldn't ride in my arena so I made another card for my card bouquet. I had gone on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had another awesome sketch

So here is what I came up with:
I used some of my left over Beyond the Garden and Pear Pizazz DP. I know its a little hard to tell but it has small "dots" all over it. I ran the center strip through the Polka Dots Embossing Folder and tied the new, beautiful Daffodil Delight stitched ribbon on top. Love the sentiments in the Pursuit of Happiness set! Very cheerful! Have a great day!

Late Night Posting!

Hi All,
Finally had a little time to work on a card, had actually hoped to work on a few but got a surprise walking downstairs to my crafting space!
Yup my "cute" little kitty had pulled down the Christmas tree among other things! Anyway, I did make it to the craft room for a little (and I do mean little!) "me" time. I had gone on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and this was their sketch of the week:

And here is what I came up with:

I used Pool Party as my base with Everyday Elegance DP with the Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set. I stamped the tree in Pool Party ink and stamped if off once before stamping on the Natural White paper.
Thanks for stopping by!

Try Stamping...at ALL!!

Morning All,
Sorry for the absence, life and continued camera issues keep getting in the way. I have to say I would never have guessed how much of a full time job rehabing a knee would turn into! I have literally just started riding my horse again and can not believe how hard an "easy" ride is! Yikes! Anyway I had a few minutes to stamp and wanted to create something for a June stamp a stack. So I went on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had a great sketch:

I really liked the clean layout. Here is what I came up with:
I apologize that its not the sharpest image ever, but this is much better then the first ten! I actually just downloaded a "fix" to my camera phone but the issues continue. *sigh* I just need to spend time researching  new cameras....time is the operative word! Anyway I had wanted to do a Vintage Theme for my stamp a stack so I had to use the Fresh Vintage set and paper from Sale-a-bration. It was to perfect! I added the wonderful organza ribbon, brad and a few pearls and was very happy with the outcome. I will let the ladies determine what they want to stamp on the inside. Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Mothers Day!!

Things you have to do....

Hi Everyone,
I have a bunch of cards that I need to send out for a few different occasions, but the most important one is a sympathy card for a wonderful co-worker. I think these are the most important ones you send, as it really shows you care and that your thinking about them. I find these the most difficult to come up with so I went on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had another great sketch:

Now I needed a color palette. I had gone on over to the Paper Players and they had just the thing:

I thought this mix was perfect for the tone I wanted. Here is what I came up with:

I had rotated it onto its side so I could set up the sentiment the way I wanted. I used the Loving Thoughts set and colored each word separately so I could set the words above each other versus next two each other. I had also used the Thoughts and Prayers set for the floral piece behind the sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Try Stamping in general!

Wow what a heck of a few days! I did well from my surgery until Sunday then proceeded to have a very rare reaction to the meds. Oh boy what fun that was!! Finally got some meds to balance off the problems and was able to make a card last night to get my mind off things and prepare for my follow up. I had gone on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and this is this weeks sketch:

I loved the elements and knew just how I wanted to interpret them. Here is what I came up with:
I have seen this cute bunny a bunch of different places and knew I wanted to make at least one for my Easter cards. I also loved the top grouping of circles and loved using them for my sentiment. Plus it kind of described how I have been getting around lately! The paper is retired DP Tea Party. Truly perfect for Easter! Well thanks for stopping by.

Try stamping on Tuesday and try taking a picture!!

Morning All,
Quick post before I head out. I had made this card very late last night after I saw this cool sketch on Try Stamping on Tuesday Blogspot:

Here is what I came up with:
I took the liberty of rotating the sketch for the look I wanted. I used Pool Party and Whisper White cardstock and some of my Tea Party DP that I had "squirreled" away. I had a few of these cute butterfly stickers and thought it worked well for the card. I ran the base through the Big Shot in the Petals a Plenty folder as I thought it worked nicely with flowers from Sweet Stems (sadly retired). After all this I spent over an hour trying to get a picture and my phone is now malfunctioning so I am "borrowing" my sig other's camera. I think he is worried my bad luck will stretch to his camera now!! Not so sure I can blame him!! Have a great day!
