Birthday Mojo!

Morning All,
I wanted to share the birthday card that I made for my 102 year old grandmother. I have been slowly working away at her gifts (as I make all of her greeting cards) but I hadn't attempted this special card yet. So I went on over to Mojo Monday and they had another great sketch:

Here is what I came up with:

 

After rotating the sketch I used a base of some Pretty  in Pink I had left over and some of my retired Afternoon Picnic DP that I had (loved the flowers!). I ran the pink panel through my vintage folder and the green panel through my stripes folder. The butterflies were Dies cut with the smaller punched out. A pearl and some crochet ribbon and I was done. I really hope she loves the vintage look!

Friday Mash Up on a Sunday

Morning All,
I wanted to share another one of my cards that I made this weekend. I had gone on over to Friday Mash Up and they had a great sketch:

 

Here's your Mashup Challenge:

• Create a project using the "Sketch".
• Create a project using " an assortment of different Pattern Papers".
• or Mash it Up! and create a project with the "Sketch using different pattern papers".

I decided to "mash it up" and here is what I came up with:

 

I love pinks and browns together and this card was no exception! I used my one inch punch on a layer of Very Vanilla and Early Espresso for the patterned background and the sentiment came from Petite Pairs. I do love the retired lace ribbon but, of course, Stampin Up had a great option in the new catty!! Thanks for stopping by!

Wow twice in a day!!

Evening All,
Well I have impressed even myself and was able to get the last birthday card done for my friends mother and decided to use this design for my upcoming stamp a stack. I was using up a little bit of my retired goodies to make way for the new stuff from the just released new catty!!!

Here is the final card I made today:

 

I used some of my last few sheets of Raspberry Ripple, a layer of Old Olive and some Cottage Wall DP. I used my Happy Hour stamp set for the greeting and a little ribbon and I was done! Simple but fun!

A little Mojo

Hi All,
I wanted to share another set of cards I made for my friends mother. I had gone on over to Mojo Monday and they had an awesome sketch:

 

Here is what I came up with:

 

 

I used a base of Wisteria Wonder, a layer of Crushed Curry and some different pieces of Afternoon Picnic DP. I used the now retired Victorian lace ribbon and the sentiment was some Petite Pairs. Love the cheerful colors! Hope she likes these!

Try stamping three days in a row!!

Hi All,
Well I am super proud of myself as I have been able to stamp the past few days in a row, add to my card stash AND clean out the nursery for a bit of a make over!! Today I needed a birthday card for my step daughter to take to a party. I had seen a great sketch the other day at Try Stamping on Tuesday and knew that I would have to use it. Check it out:

 

I thought this would be perfect for all the different DP that I wanted to use! Here is what I came up with:

 

I used a base of Razzleberry and a number of strips of paper from my Floral District DP that I had saved, the Bitty Banners stamp set and coordinating framelits and some polka dot Razzleberry ribbon. A few butterflies with rhinestones and I was done! My step daughter loved it and I hope her friend does too!

Dad's Birthday!

Hi All,
I needed to make my father a birthday card this weekend. His birthday is Monday but he has a busy week coming up so I wanted to make sure I got this to him this weekend. I had gone on over to Stamping 411 and they had a fabulous sketch:

And here is what I came up with:

I used the Medallion and Teeny Tiny Wishes for stamp sets. You may also notice I have a "sneak peek" hidden on the card in the form of a new Bitty Banner Framelit. Super fun! Its so funny I have a pile of stamped images that never ended up on the final card but I couldn't bear to throw them out. The Medallion (stamped in Marina Mist) was in that pile and I thought it suited the card perfectly. Hope he likes it!

Try Stamping...take 2

Hi All,
I had a chance to get into my stamping room tonight, which is always quite nice! I had to make two cards for my cousins twin daughters birthday party. They are turning 2 tomorrow and are so stinkin cute! As I needed a little inspiration for the layout I had gone on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had another great sketch!

I thought it leant itself very nicely to the colors that I wanted to use. Here is what I came up with:

Of course, since there are two of them they need their own cards! I took some liberties with the shapes as I knew I wanted to use the owl. There is a little story behind the owls. I had made Halloween cards for them this year with the owl punch used to make ghosts, cats and bats and they loved walking around with the cards. So of course I used the owl punch to make reindeer in December, and a bunny for Easter! Gotta love the flexibility of this little punch! I figured it was about time I used the punch for purposes intended on their birthday card! Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp a stack cards!

Hi All!
I am proud to say I was able to accomplish a lot of stamping last night! I made some gifts I needed to make, completed a challenge card AND put together my three cards for my upcoming "Stamp a stack" classes. A Stamp a Stack is a class you come to and make fifteen cards (three designs, five cards apiece). Try Stamping on Tuesday challenge #45

Evening All, Just got in from a packed day of fun and festivities and realised that I never posted my card this morning! Well I needed another sketch last night as I was creating a box of all occasion cards for my sister in law and I stumbled upon this great site! Try Stamping on Tuesday had a very nice clean and simple sketch:

I thought "perfect"!! I will make a bunch for her using this design. Here is one that I came up with:

I have had more fun playing with all the challenges I have found!! It is a great jump start when you need a sketch or starting point with colors! So anyway without further ado here is my recipe:
Paper: Lovely Lilac retired, Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Certainly Celery, and DP that is retired and I can not think of the name at the moment!!LOL!!
Ink: Certainly Celery
Embellishments: Certainly Celery Ribbon (retired)
Punches: Decorative Label and Scallop Trim Border
