Evening All,
I wanted to share a card that I had entered into a contest that is in the Stampin Up! demonstrator magazine "Stampin Success". Every month Stampin Up chooses a card for a "demo it" category and I entered the following card:
As you can tell I used A LOT of new product! :) I used the stamp set Betsy's Blossom for the top and bottom of the party hat. I used Floral District for the paper and the new Bitty Banner Framelits for the sentiment. I punched out two (one in Whisper White and one in Rich Razzleberry) and snipped the edges of the White off to let the Razzleberry peek through. Finally I used the new ribbon in Daffodil Delight on two of the edges. Anyway, I really thought it was pretty cute but who knows what the judges will think!!
Fingers crossed!
Have a great night and fantastic Memorial Day!

More Monkeying Around!
Evening All,
With this horrible rain I had some time tonight to complete another card for my June Stamp Club. I had gone on over to A La Monkey Blogspot and they had another great sketch:

How cute is that??!! And of course I would recognize the elephant from the Disney Jungle Cruise!! After checking out all of the inspiration cards here is what I came up with:
I have been having a lot of fun with the new Betsy's Bloom stamp set! I love the versatility! I was "hoping" that this looked like fireworks!!?? I used the new "in-color" for 2012-2014 "Midnight Muse" for the panels, layered it on a piece of Melon Mambo and Heat Embossed the Bloom in White and Melon Mambo. Did you notice the banner? I really LOVE the new Bitty Banner Framelits! Especially since I can fit many of my favorite sentiments in it from the Loving Thoughts set. I am SUPER excited that it carried over to the new catalog!! Anyway thanks for stopping by!

paper Players 96
Hi All,
I had an unexpectedly productive day today. I had gone on over to my parents to deliver my dads birthday card and found them cleaning out the garage. Well I "dug" in and four hours later about 3/4 of it is cleaned out! Its nice to accomplish something but it wasn't what I had on my schedule! :)
Earlier today I had gone on over to the Paper Players and they had a cool challenge:

Dots! So here is what I came up with:
I chose to use my retiring Blushing Bride cardstock and Concord Crush DP with coordinating markers. I ran the paper through my Big Shot Polka Dots folder and finished off the dots theme with the dotted Concord Crush DP. I played with the tone of the color with my Blender Pens. Seriously my favorite tool!

Dad's Birthday!
Hi All,
I needed to make my father a birthday card this weekend. His birthday is Monday but he has a busy week coming up so I wanted to make sure I got this to him this weekend. I had gone on over to Stamping 411 and they had a fabulous sketch:
And here is what I came up with:
I used the Medallion and Teeny Tiny Wishes for stamp sets. You may also notice I have a "sneak peek" hidden on the card in the form of a new Bitty Banner Framelit. Super fun! Its so funny I have a pile of stamped images that never ended up on the final card but I couldn't bear to throw them out. The Medallion (stamped in Marina Mist) was in that pile and I thought it suited the card perfectly. Hope he likes it!

Sneak Peek!!
Hi All,
I received my sneak peek products this week and I spent a few minutes tonight playing with them. I wanted to use my few minutes "wisely" so I figured I would plan for June's stamp club. As I sat down I was wondering about my layout, but my "stampers block" was quickly put aside as I had gone on over to Pals Paper Arts and they had a fantastic sketch:
Here is what I came up with:
The bird and flowers are part of a soon to be released set called "Betsy's Blooms" and the DP is "Floral District", which I am a huge fan of already! I combined the new DP with a set from the Occasion's Mini catty that is being carried over, Loving Thoughts! Such a beautiful set. I stamped off the bird twice after coloring with Baja Breeze and Rich Razzleberry markers. Can't wait to share more from the upcoming catty!
Thanks for stopping by!

Freshly Made Sketches
Morning All,
Well I had more "time" to stamp late last night as my knee was throbbing and there was no way I could sleep. I do love my "hobby" as it does help take your mind off of things. Anyway I had gone on over to Freshly Made Sketches and they had a fabulous sketch:

I decided to rotate the sketch and really like the end result. I used the Everyday Enchantment DP from Sale-a-bration (seriously my most favorite paper ever!) and the beautiful organza ribbon as well. I popped up my sentiment from Short and Sweet in the center. I LOVE that set and will never ever part with it! It is slated to retire at the end of this month so grab it before its gone! Well thanks for stopping by, back to the "icing" of the knee!

Late Night Posting!
Hi All,
Finally had a little time to work on a card, had actually hoped to work on a few but got a surprise walking downstairs to my crafting space!
Yup my "cute" little kitty had pulled down the Christmas tree among other things! Anyway, I did make it to the craft room for a little (and I do mean little!) "me" time. I had gone on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and this was their sketch of the week:

I used Pool Party as my base with Everyday Elegance DP with the Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set. I stamped the tree in Pool Party ink and stamped if off once before stamping on the Natural White paper.

Try Stamping...at ALL!!
Morning All,
Sorry for the absence, life and continued camera issues keep getting in the way. I have to say I would never have guessed how much of a full time job rehabing a knee would turn into! I have literally just started riding my horse again and can not believe how hard an "easy" ride is! Yikes! Anyway I had a few minutes to stamp and wanted to create something for a June stamp a stack. So I went on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had a great sketch:

I really liked the clean layout. Here is what I came up with:
I apologize that its not the sharpest image ever, but this is much better then the first ten! I actually just downloaded a "fix" to my camera phone but the issues continue. *sigh* I just need to spend time researching new cameras....time is the operative word! Anyway I had wanted to do a Vintage Theme for my stamp a stack so I had to use the Fresh Vintage set and paper from Sale-a-bration. It was to perfect! I added the wonderful organza ribbon, brad and a few pearls and was very happy with the outcome. I will let the ladies determine what they want to stamp on the inside. Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Mothers Day!!

May Thank You notes
Hi All,
I had a chance to make my May "Thank You" notes for my stamp club members. I wanted to use some of the retiring colors. Without further adieu here they are:
I chose to use Blushing Bride, Pear Pizazz and Poppy Parade along with my favorite sentiment set of all time "Short and Sweet". I use that set constantly and I would suggest that you snap it up as soon as possible as it is scheduled to retire at the end of this month!
I also wanted to pass along some carry over info for you. Stampin Up let us know that quite a few of the stamp sets are going into the new Catty on June 1st. They are as follows:

Freshly Made Sketches #33
Hi All,
I finally had a chance to create this weekend. Even if it was only one card so far it felt good! Crazy week! Anyway I had needed a quick card for a friend to pass onto a co-worker who would like to host her own workshop. So I went on over to Freshly Made Sketches and they did not disappoint! This is their great sketch:

I used Vintage Vogue in Early Espresso Ink. Vintage Vogue will be retiring at the end of this month. I layered pieces of First Edition DP with alternating pieces of Early Espresso and Very Vanilla card stock. Hope she enjoys it! Thanks for stopping by!
