Evening All,
I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year as we close out 2013 and welcome 2014! I had a little time to myself this afternoon and decided to prep one of my cards for my next club class. I wanted to use the new Co'redinations Cardstock. Here is what I came up with:
I wanted a card that was flexible enough to be used as a Valentine or any general occasion. The use of the Primrose Petals base and coordinating Co'redination Cardstock that comes in all of the colors made this project easy! After using the Apothecary Accents framelits I then ran it through the Lattice EF and sanded it. I used the Raspberry Ripple in-color and punched out the flower and used the En Frances in Versamark to coordinate with the background. A little "bling" in the center and I was done. Love this cardstock!
Have a Happy New year!

Morning All,
Sorry for my slow posts! Been busy like everyone else I suppose, even though its "school vaca" I cover vacation days at my other job, which is pretty busy this week! Anyway I wanted to share a Christmas card I made for some friends right before Christmas:

Its very simple but I thought, cute nonetheless. I did a card base of Old Olive, used my awesome Silver Stamp pad for the snowflakes, added the buttons as my ornaments and then used my Silver Ribbon to "hang" the ornaments.
I also wanted to share that Stampin Up added more items to the Clearance Rack!! Check it out here!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Last minute gifts!
Hi All,
Thought I would share some more Christmas gifts that I finally got made. I was able to finish up my great aunt's Easter cards. I give them to her on Christmas so she can be ready, as she is quite the card addict! Here is what I came up with:

I endeavor to use all of my supplies so I had some paper left from the last catty and punched out a cute bunny using the clear button for his tail. A sentiment from my retired Well Scripted set and I was done, Hope she likes it! Have a great day!

Of course I messed up and didnt post it soon enough but I can at least share it here!
I used Wisteria Wonder as a base, inked the "Ears to You" retired stamp, placed a few strips of retired DP and some Wisteria Wonder Bakers Twine on the center bunny! I liked it even if I didn't get a chance to enter it!! Hope you have a great night!

Finally a little progress!
Evening All,
Well I think this is a first, doing two posts on one day! I needed to finish up some of my Christmas gifts which included some Valentines for my Grandmother. Of course I have had a bit of a "block" so I went on over to CAS Colors and Sketch Blog and wasn't disappointed. They had a great sketch:

And here is what I came up with:
I used some of my last bits of Pretty in Pink and my Sending Love DP (perfect for Valentines day!). I decided to run the square of Very Vanilla through my Big Shot with my Polka Dot embossing folder and heat embossed my image in white powder. Very sparkly! Hope she likes it! Have a great night!

I wanted to share a card I made recently after seeing the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. Check it out here:
Here is what I came up with:
I went a bit rustic and I rotated the sketch. I used a base of Cherry Cobbler with a panel of Crumb Cake on Early Espresso. I punched out the ornament from the Deck the Halls DP I had hoarded. A little Bakers Twine and a sentiment from Short and Sweet and I was done! Simple and fun! Have a great night

Freshly Made Saturday
Morning All,
I finally had a chance this weekend to make some of my Christmas presents for my relatives. I always make my Great Aunt's Valentine's and Easter cards as part of her Christmas present and of course I am way behind! So I decided to make her Valentine's Day cards this weekend but of course I was stumped. So I went on over to Freshly Made Sketches and they had another great sketch:

I used some of my retired Deck the Halls paper with canvas ribbon. I used the poinsettia from the Joyful Christmas. I used pewter embossing power and "fussy" cut it out and mounted it on dimensional. I really liked how the poinsettia went with this designer paper. Have a great night!

Ho Ho Ho!!
Morning All,
I wanted to share a cute (at least I think so!) card that I made last night for my next club. I wanted to use the pennant die to make a treat holder and attach it to a card. I initially started with making the pennant very vintage but then I thought Geez I am totally missing the (obvious) boat! Here is what I came up with:

I used two pennants and scored one at 1/4" and then adhered it to the second to make a pocket for my Christmas Chapstick. I think that maybe I was a little over zealous with the "fluff" on the hat but other then that I love it! I added the perfect sentiment from the Christmas Messages set and I was done. If you want to recreate I would just recommend using sticky strip as that adheres it much better then the Tombow adhesive. Have a great day!

But wont tell me why...Hmmm I guess I will just have to ponder that for a while! Anyway I used a base of Pool Party, some Winter Frost DP and heat embossed the tree from Christmas Lodge onto the DP in pewter. A little silver ribbon and old favorite sentiment set (Short and Sweet) and I was done!

I stayed with my Winter Frost color pattern and did a base of Pool Party with layers of Smokey Slate and Basic Grey. I also added the Silver Foil paper for the top of the ornament and used the Silver ribbon to "hang" it. I decided to use the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and added the detail on the smaller ornament with the Silver Encore ink. A few punched of Glimmer paper and Silver Foil and I was done. This card made me laugh and I really needed that today! I used the Owl punch and have seen tons of variation's with the turkey so not sure where to give the original credit, all I know is it wasn't me that came up with this cute little guy! I did my base with Naturals White and used a new to me set from the catty called "Gorgeous Grunge"! Works great with this sketch! I hand wrote the sentiment and I was done. Again, not sure even the first place I saw this, but it made me crack up!

I did nearly the same card with the exception of running the banner through my Northern Flurry EF (at Linda's suggestion) and the sentiment is from Christmas Messages. Great set! Love how this came out!
I also wanted to remind you that you have until tomorrow night to take advantage of the 25 at 25% off sale!

Lovely as a tree
Evening All,
I finally had a chance to share a card that I will be presenting at a workshop for a new crafting friend. As this is a new group to me I wanted to use one of my all time favorite sets; Lovely as a Tree! I decided a simple layout with a little "sparkle" would be a good start:
I finally had a chance to share a card that I will be presenting at a workshop for a new crafting friend. As this is a new group to me I wanted to use one of my all time favorite sets; Lovely as a Tree! I decided a simple layout with a little "sparkle" would be a good start:
I changed the angle of the camera below so you can see the images without the sparkle over taking the picture! I stamped the trees in Staz On ink and sponged some Pool Party ink over the trees. Then I used my Versa Mark stamp pad and heat embossed Iridescent Ice for that awesome sparkle look. I used the Winter Frost DP as a background on a layer of Basic Grey and Smokey Slate, a little satin ribbon and I was done. Love this color combo for Christmas!
Hope they like it!
Thanks Karin
