Hi All,
Had a chance to make some thank you notes for my club members today and wanted to share them. I needed, and therefore went, with a Spring theme. Here they are:
Its been so gloomy that I went with my fancy flower punch using the Saleabration Sweet Sorbet DP. Remember Saleabration ends March 31st so be sure to click the "Shop Now" button to get your free goodies! I also used the Bird Punch to make the stem and leaf, love when a tool has many uses! Finally I used the retired Short and Sweet sentiment set for the center.
Have a great night!

Try Stamping on Tuesday 160
Evening All,
Sorry for the little hiatus! Been a bit busy, as usual! Anyway I thought I should take a few minutes in my craft room and play along with Try Stamping on Tuesday's challenge of the day. Check out their great sketch:

They added a cool twist of making it "masculine". Here is what I came up with:
I used a base of Naturals White, a layer of Soft Suede and added a layer of some Comfort Café DP. I used my favorite stand by set of Lovely as a Tree and the sentiment came from the hostess set Simply Sketched. I love the clean look! Hope you have a great night!

Another quick CASe
Hi All,
I wanted to share another rendition of the card I made last week but I used some different stamps and embossing folder. Kind of nice to see the different looks you can make! Anyway here it is:

I used the Decorative Dots Folder from Saleabration and used Betsy's Bloom's for the tag that I topped with the Tag Scallop Punch. A little gold bakers twine and I was done. Hope you enjoyed the day!

A Fancy Fold CASe
Evening All,
I wanted to share a card I made at club the other night that I CASed from Mary Fish over at Stampin Pretty. She has a lot of great one minute "to WOW" videos and I was taken by her fancy fold card. Here is my interpretation:

I chose to use the Thoughts and Prayers and Petite Pairs Stamp Sets. I also used the Sweet Sorbet DP on both of my panels. I decided to watermark the inside of my card with Versa Mark as I really like the softer look and tied the card with Satin Ribbon. Love it! Make sure you check out her blog!
Have a great night!

Cased myself!
Evening All,
I wanted to share a card I made that is actually a CASe of a card I made on my March 2nd post. I am hoping to do a workshop for a friend and she was interested in having a card to make that was a bit brighter then that one. Here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Daffodil Delight, a panel of Basic Black and then a panel of Raspberry Ripple that I had run through the scallop embossing folder. I again used the Gorgeous Grunge set (as its awesome) on my tag which I punched out the with scallop tag topped punch and the Simply Sketched hostess set for the sentiment. A little Gold Bakers Twine and I was done! Hope she likes it!
Have a good night!

March Thank You's
Hi All,
I wanted to share the cute (and quick) Thank You's I made for my club this month.
I wanted to share the cute (and quick) Thank You's I made for my club this month.
I used my large heart punch to make a four leaf clover out of some Floral District DP that I had that had a neat green pattern. I added a candy dot for the center and punched out the sentiment from my retired Short and Sweet set with my small oval punch. Cute and simple!
Enjoy the nice day!

Flip Card
Evening All,
Here is a card that I started working on last night and finished tonight (love having a dedicated place to craft!). I wanted to CASe a card I had seen at www.tinkerwithink.com that used the framelits to make a flip card. Check out her site. Here was my take on the card:

I used my Happy Hour set on a base of Summer Starfruit with the Sweet Sorbet DP from Saleabration and some Basic Black to make it "pop". I tied on some Whisper White Twine for interest and I was done. Very cool technique!
Have a great night!

Onesie
Evening All,
Well I had a fairly productive night, for me anyway! I needed a baby card so I went to an old favorite that I haven't made in a while, a "onesie" card. For those who haven't seen one before its a card shaped like one of the cute onesis you see on newborns. Now to be fair I did not come up with it and actually don't know where the origin came from but I learned it from my fellow stamper over at "Oopadoodle". When you get a moment check out her blog. Without further adieu here is my take on it:
I used a circle punch for the neck and leg holes and just cut and measured for the sleeves. I heat embossed the diaper pin from Short and Sweet and also heat embossed the elephant (which happened to be a random stamp I had and loved). I added a few candy dots to the bottom and I was done! Love it! Thanks for stopping by!

Just for fun!
Hi All,
In an effort to procrastinate doing some paperwork this morning I decided to make a card that I would like to do at a friends workshop. I wanted to play around with some of the "In Colors" for this year and the Saleabration DP. Here is what I came up with:

Two days in a row!!
Evening All,
I am rather proud of myself as I was able to get a few more of my Easter cards done this evening!! I had gone on over to Pals Paper Arts and they had a great sketch:
I decided to rotate the sketch for my purposes and here is what I came up with:

I used some of the last of my Certainly Celery cardstock and retired Floral District DP. I combined some of the "old" goodies with my new stamp set "Eggstra Spectacular". I stamped the cute lamb in Staz On and colored in the eggs and basket with coordinating colors. Love how easy this sketch was to use! I can see myself using this layout again!! Well off to crash for the night!
Thanks for stopping by!
