Summer time!

Hi All,
I wanted to post a picture of a card I was able to finish today using one of my "new to me" sets By the Shore. Love this set and was thrilled to see that it carried over!!
In addition to the By the Shore set I used Petite Pairs as the sale price was to good to pass up!! I ran the new "in color" Coastal Cabana through the Wood Grain EF for the look of water and then used my Simply Scored for ripples in the sand, then sponged the sand with Crumb Cake ink, heat embossed all the cool shells and starfish and cut them out, popping a few out for depth with dimensionals. Added some left over twine and the sentiment with the Vintage Trinket with the 7/16 scallop punch. Love the rustic look. I may modify this and hang them around my office for Summer decor! Love making some of my own decorations!

Perfect Inspiration!

Evening All,
Came home after an long day at work and decided to pull out one of my new stamps. Course, in the new catty  I was totally drawn to the new coffee set "Perfect Blend"!! Here is what I came up with just playing around with it:

I used So Saffron as a base, a layer of Early Espresso, the Tea for Two DP,(which has a new color scheme in the new catty!! LOVE it!!) and some Early Espresso ribbon. I heat embossed two cups and cut them out, the stamped the cup again on some DP scraps, cut them out and adhered them to the cup. Popped one cup on dimensionals and punched out the sentiment and I was done. I think I will show this at my next club!

Try a little Christmas

Morning All,
I wanted to share a card I made which was inspired by the sketch over at Try Stamping on Tuesday. Here is the cool sketch:

I needed to get moving on my Great Aunt's Christmas cards and thought that this sketch was a great jumping off point.  Here is what I came up with:
I had some great pieces of the Holly Berry DP that fit this layout perfectly! I used the (retired) ornament punch and one of my favorite sentiments Short and Sweet. Only 50 more cards to go! Lol! Have a great day!

Father's Day

Morning All,
Up much earlier then I needed to be thanks to my crazy tabby!! So I thought I would post the card I made for my father for Father's Day. I wanted to do something a little different so I pulled out my Simply Scored and the Diagonal plate and went to town:
I decided to use my Medallion stamp after I had scored the card in two different directions added some Comfort Cafe to the background, sponged everything with Soft Suede and used my Modern Label punch with the saying from Well Scripted, canvas ribbon and I was done! I hope he likes it!

Thinking of You

Evening All,
I had a very eventful day having some minor day surgery but actually felt good enough to make a clean and simple "Thinking of You" card to round out my stamp a stack evening. I have been really trying to make the cards for those fun nights a little more streamlined and think I was successful with this trio. Check out my latest:
I grabbed some of my now retired Bashful Blue as the base, a layer of Crumb Cake, Naturals White and a piece of my ever favorite Everyday Elegance DP that I stocked up on when it was on the clearance rack (seriously love that about Stampin UP!!!). The sentiment was from the Curly Cute and a few punched butterflies and I was done. Hope the girls love it!
Have a great night!

Stamp a Stack Thank you

Hi All,
I wanted to share my next card that I will be offering at my upcoming stamp a stack. I wanted to use some DP scraps that I love the color of and have saved forever! I used some of my circles punches and love the end result!

I used a sentiment from the Pursuit of Happiness and centered it using the Designer Frames embossing folder. Great way to make a portion of your card "pop"!!
Have a great Sunday!

Clean and simple birthday

Evening All,
I finally had a few minutes to start making my next set of cards for my June stamp a stack! I really wanted a clean and simple look that show cased some beautiful designer paper. Here it is:
I was using some of my Baja Breeze paper with a layer of Early Espresso and the awesome Everyday Enchantment DP. I stayed with using some of my all time favorites that have retired and used Well Scripted for the sentiment and the older butterfly punch. As much as I love the new one I don't seem to be able to part with this one!! Hope the crew loves the new set!
