Freshly Made Bloom

Morning All,
I wanted to share a card that I will be making tonight at my Blendabilities class that I am giving. I am super excited as they are releasing a group of these easy to use markers to customers as of July 1st!! For your info the list is as follows:

  • Coastal Cabana Assortment (131000)
  • Cherry Cobbler Assortment (130995)
  • Daffodil Delight Assortment (130998)
  • Old Olive Assortment (130999)
  • Pumpkin Pie Assortment (130997)
  • Rich Razzleberry Assortment (131003)
  • Skin Tone Assortment (set of 6, 129370))
  • Color Lifter (corrects coloring mistakes by lifting color from paper, 129369)
  • Memento Pad Tuxedo Black Ink Pad (132708)
  • Memento Pad Tuxedo Black Ink Refill (133456)
  • The remaining colors will be released August 1st!!

As usual as I was prepping for my class I was a bit stumped for a layout so I went on over to Freshly Made Sketches and of course they did not disappoint! Here is their latest and greatest sketch:

And here is what I came up with:

I used the new Blended Bloom stamp and colored it with my Razzleberry set of Blendabilities and then completed the center of the flower with my Daffodil Delight set of "Blendies" and finally added a sentiment from Petite Pairs. I did use the color lifter to add some light points on the flower and am very happy with the results. Love the layout of the sketch as it is super easy to use! Have a great day!
    Thanks for stopping by!

    More Thank You's!

    Evening All,
Seem to be on a trend with evening posts! Anyhow I was able to complete a few more cards last night thanks to another great sketch challenge and I wanted to share that with you! I had gone on over to The Paper Players and this was the sketch that caught my eye:

And here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Whisper White, a panel of Rich Razzelberry and a few more pieces of my retired Cottage Wall DP. I punched out a flower, ran it through my Polka Dot EF and stamped the "Thank You" from my ever handy Short and Sweet set. Popped it up on dimensionls and I was done! I love all the white space with the pops of color on the panel and banners. Well off to try and decompress! What a day! Thanks for stopping by!

    Pals Paper Arts

    Evening All,
Sorry about the hiatus been a bit busy with wrapping (or trying to wrap) up school! Anyhow I really needed some "Thank You" cards for all the  baby gifts from my wonderful co-workers! I, of course, had no motivation for layouts so I went on over to Pals Paper Arts and they had a great sketch:

    6-19Sketch208

And here is what I came up with:

I used a mix of old and new. I used some of my favorite Cottage Wall DP, and then added in the new Something for Baby stamp set with the matching Baby's Firsts framelits. I used the Bitty Banners Framelits with the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set. I love the mix of Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. Hope they like the cards! Have a great night!

Friday Mash Up on a Sunday

    Morning All,
I wanted to share another one of my cards that I made this weekend. I had gone on over to Friday Mash Up and they had a great sketch:

    Here's your Mashup Challenge:
    • Create a project using the "Sketch".
    • Create a project using " an assortment of different Pattern Papers".
    • or Mash it Up! and create a project with the "Sketch using different pattern papers".
I decided to "mash it up" and here is what I came up with:

I love pinks and browns together and this card was no exception! I used my one inch punch on a layer of Very Vanilla and Early Espresso for the patterned background and the sentiment came from Petite Pairs. I do love the retired lace ribbon but, of course, Stampin Up had a great option in the new catty!! Thanks for stopping by!

    Have a great day!

    Wow twice in a day!!

    Evening All,
Well I have impressed even myself and was able to get the last birthday card done for my friends mother and decided to use this design for my upcoming stamp a stack. I was using up a little bit of my retired goodies to make way for the new stuff from the just released new catty!!!

Here is the link to the new catalog PDF in case you haven't seen it yet!!!

Here is the final card I made today:

I used some of my last few sheets of Raspberry Ripple, a layer of Old Olive and some Cottage Wall DP. I used my Happy Hour stamp set for the greeting and a little ribbon and I was done! Simple but fun!

    A little birthday fun!

    Evening All,
I wanted to share some cards I made for my friends' mothers' birthday celebration. She needed some extra and figured I could help and after these past few days filled with surgery and the stomach bug I was ready for a little distraction! I went on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday blog and they had a great sketch:

They had a great twist "Something that makes you happy". Well when doesn't a birthday card make you happy?? So here is my take:

I love the now retired "Sunflower" stamp (they are a happy flower) and I paired it with the sentiment from the newly retired Simple Sketched hostess set. I used a base of Naturals white, some More Mustard that I ran through my Lattice EF and some pieces of Howlstooth and Scaringbone DP that I hung onto. I cut out the image using my Labels Framelits and I was done!
    Hope she likes them!
