Northern Flurry

Hi All.
Well here again for another early, or if you prefer late night post! I finished making the final card for my friends stamp a stack and wanted to share it.

I kept with the use of "blues" and did a base of Pool Party and embossed a layer of vellum with the Northern Flurry EF. I love the classic look you get from using vellum. It packs a lot of punch with minimal effort! I finished it off with some Pool Party Bakers twine and a greeting from Christmas Messages and punched it out with my ornament punch with a little added "bling" from a rhinestone. Just realized you can see my truck in the background! Lol! Sorry about that I was a bit tired when I took the picture last night and wasn't paying close attention!
Thanks for stopping by!

Lovely as a tree clasic

Hi All,
I wanted to share a card we will be making at my friends upcoming stamp a stack. I decided that I wanted to do a classic card using Lovely as a Tree. I've seen it many places and have done it a few times myself and it one of those cards that never gets old. See for yourself:
I used a base of Whisper White, a layer of Marina Mist and Basic Black, which really gives the image a nice "pop". The image is stamped in Staz on Ink on glossy paper and I used my daubers to add the sky in coordinating shades of blue, The "snow" was done with silver and clear Dazzling Details. The sentiment was stamped in Silver Encore Ink. Love the overall clean but classic look.

I also wanted to share this weeks deals:

$26.95 $20.21
Great deals as usual! Email me if you need to place an order!
Thanks for stopping by!

Twins Anyone??

Hi All
I wanted to share a  set of cards that I made for some friends who are expecting twins! I am in love with Stampin Up's Something for Baby stamp set and the coordinating Babys First framelits! They make these types of cards easy to create! Here is what I created:

I used a base of Pool Party for one and Pistachio Pudding for the other. On the Pool Party card I hope you notice the two blue onesies as my friend is having two boys while on the other I have a blue and pink onesies as, you guessed it my other friend is expecting a boy and girl. I used the Sweet Sorbet DP for the center and popped up the sentiment on dimensionals. They were a lot of fun to make!

Another Freshly Made Saturday

Morning All,
I wanted to share the last Christmas card that I made as part of my Great Aunt's birthday gift. I have been pushing all my activities to the wire lately as my little guy comes first but I did want to make sure I kept up with the tradition of making all of my Aunts greeting cards. For my inspiration I went on over to Freshly Made Sketches and they had another great sketch:

Without further adieu here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Always Artichoke, a layer of Crumb Cake and the last pieces of my Deck the Halls DP that I had squirrel away. I just love the vintage look! I ran the Crumb Cake through the Script EF, punched out an ornament and added a few pearls after "ageing" the edges of the ornament. I hope she likes it! Have a great day!

Birthday Mojo!

Morning All,
I wanted to share the birthday card that I made for my 102 year old grandmother. I have been slowly working away at her gifts (as I make all of her greeting cards) but I hadn't attempted this special card yet. So I went on over to Mojo Monday and they had another great sketch:

Here is what I came up with:

After rotating the sketch I used a base of some Pretty  in Pink I had left over and some of my retired Afternoon Picnic DP that I had (loved the flowers!). I ran the pink panel through my vintage folder and the green panel through my stripes folder. The butterflies were Dies cut with the smaller punched out. A pearl and some crochet ribbon and I was done. I really hope she loves the vintage look!
Thanks for stopping by!

Freshly Made Christmas

Hi All,
I was able to carve out a little time for myself today and made some Christmas cards for my Great Aunt's upcoming 103rd birthday. I was rather proud as I was able to make about half of what she needs today, no small feet with a 6 week old! Anyhow I had gone on over to Freshly Made Sketches and thy had this great sketch:
This is what I created:

I used a base of Cherry Cobbler, some Early Espresso and Artichoke along with some Deck the Halls DP I had saved, which worked perfectly for the look I wanted. I punched out the ornament with a sentiment from Short and Sweet and I was done. Hope she likes it!

Try Stamping!

Hi All,
Well as the name of my post suggests I just try to keep stamping! As usual I need more Thank You's and I really have to catch up so I can finish/start other projects. So I went on over to Try Stampin On Tuesdays blog and they had this great sketch:
And here is what I came up with:

As you can see I am at least trying to do more than one card at a time! I used a base of Whisper White, Some Everyday Enchantment DP I had left over and the Baby's Firsts Framelits, which I love! Some rhinestones for "bling" and I was done. I popped the carriage up on dimensionals for depth and stamped it with the Thank You from Short and Sweet.
Love it! Thanks for Stopping by!

Mojo ...Wednesday!

Hi All,
I wanted to post a card that I was able to finish a little more efficiently than the card on my last post!!I had realized that I was quickly running out of time to finish my grandmother's birthday presents, as her 102nd b-day is in less than 2 weeks! So I went on over to Mojo Monday and was inspired by their sketch:

Here is what I came up with:

I hope you can see the shine from the Silver Encore ink on the trees from Lovely as a Tree!! Love that set and its absolutely quick and easy with this ink plus its great to use the Silver Foil paper as a background! I ran the Island Indigo paper through my Northern Flurry EF and used the Christmas Messages set for the sentiment. A little of the silver ribbon and I was done. Love these colors together! Thanks for stopping by!
