CAS'ing Christmas

Evening All,
I wanted to share a card that I will be offering at my next stamp a stack. First I needed a sketch so I went on over to Cas Colors and Sketches Blogspot and they had a great sketch:
Here is what I came up with:

I embossed the sleigh from "Open Sleigh" in pewter and used a piece of the Winter Frost DP. Love it, simple but eye catching! Have a great night!

Freshly Made Saturday

Morning All,
I finally had a chance this weekend to make some of my Christmas presents for my relatives. I always make my Great Aunt's Valentine's and Easter cards as part of her Christmas present and of course I am way behind! So I decided to make her Valentine's Day cards this weekend but of course I was stumped. So I went on over to Freshly Made Sketches and they had another great sketch:

I decided to rotate it for my purposes. Here is what I came up with:

I used some of my favorite Valentines paper of all time "sending Love" on a base of Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso. I used the sentiment from "Short and Sweet", a few hearts and I was done! Hope she likes it!
Have a great day!

Deck the Halls Stamp A Stack

Evening All,
I wanted to share another Christmas card that I am offering at my stamp a stack this week. I decided that the final card would be vintage. Check it out:

I used some of my retired Deck the Halls paper with canvas ribbon. I used the poinsettia from the Joyful Christmas. I used pewter embossing power and "fussy" cut it out and mounted it on dimensional. I really liked how the poinsettia went with this designer paper. Have a great night!

Ho Ho Ho!!

Morning All,
I wanted to share a cute (at least I think so!) card that I made last night for my next club. I wanted to use the pennant die to make a treat holder and attach it to a card. I initially started with making the pennant very vintage but then I thought Geez I am totally missing the (obvious) boat! Here is what I came up with:

I used two pennants and scored one at 1/4" and then adhered it to the second to make a pocket for my Christmas Chapstick. I think that maybe I was a little over zealous with the "fluff" on the hat but other then that I love it! I added the perfect sentiment from the Christmas Messages set and I was done. If you want to recreate I would just recommend using sticky strip as that adheres it much better then the Tombow adhesive. Have a great day!

Another Freshly Made Saturday

Hi All,
I wanted to share a card I made for another upcoming stamp a stack class that I am having this week. I sat down this morning but no inspiration was forth coming. So I went on over to Freshly Made Sketches and, as usual, they did not disappoint. Here is there sketch of the week:

And here is what I came up with:

I decided to rotate the sketch for my purposes. I used the sentiment from the Christmas Messages set in Silver, added the strips from the Winter Frost DP and then punched out the silver ornaments with Stampin Up's retired ornament punch. Very easy! Love when sketches help you finish a project! Have a great day!

Justin's Card

Evening All,
I wanted to share a card I made for my stepson Justin. Now he has asked me to make six of these:
But wont tell me why...Hmmm I guess I will just have to ponder that for a while! Anyway I used a base of Pool Party, some Winter Frost DP and heat embossed the tree from Christmas Lodge onto the DP in pewter. A little silver ribbon and old favorite sentiment set (Short and Sweet) and I was done!
Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card CAS

Morning All.
I was so inspired by a card I saw over at Stampin Pretty that I had to try my hand at CASing it for myself. Here is what I came up with:

I stayed with my Winter Frost color pattern and did a base of Pool Party with layers of Smokey Slate and Basic Grey. I also added the Silver Foil paper for the top of the ornament and used the Silver ribbon to "hang" it. I decided to use the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and added the detail on the smaller ornament with the Silver Encore ink. A few punched of Glimmer paper and Silver Foil and I was done. Quick and simple! Love when I am inspired!
Have a great day!

Freshly Made Turkey!

Evening All,
I wanted to share the next card that I am presenting at my club this coming Friday. I  needed a Thanksgiving themed card but wasn't sure where I would start. So I ended up at Freshly Made Sketches and was very motivated by this weeks sketch:

This card made me laugh and I really needed that today! I used the Owl punch and have seen tons of variation's with the turkey so not sure where to give the original credit, all I know is it wasn't me that came up with this cute little guy! I did my base with Naturals White and used a new to me set from the catty called "Gorgeous Grunge"! Works great with this sketch! I hand wrote the sentiment and I was done. Again, not sure even the first place I saw this, but it made me crack up!
Thanks for stopping by!

Try Stamping!

Evening All,
I was able to sneak a little time to myself tonight and make another card for my upcoming class. I had gone on over to Try Stamping on Tuesday and they had a great sketch:

I changed up the stripes a little bit and here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Pool Party (love that blue!!) and added a layer of Smokey Slate and Basic Grey. I used the Winter Frost DP for the main panel and heat embossed the tree from Lovely as a Tree in Silver Glitter. I added the silver ribbon from the Christmas mini and Rhinestones for some added bling. Love the sparkle! Hope you have a great night!
