Plaid Stamping

Evening All,
Well after a long day of coughing and sniffing on the couch watching stamping videos I dragged myself to my office and played around with some of the cool techniques I saw. One of the techniques that caught my eye was plaid stamping. Here is the link to one of the great videos. And here is my interpretation:

I wanted some fun bright colors so I used Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo for my inks. I used the flower from Betsy's Blossom and Loving thoughts. A little grosgrain ribbon and candy dot in the center and I was done, Cheered me up! Hope everyone is having a great day!
Thanks Karin

PPA 188

Hi All,
Sorry for my delay with posting, been super busy and have been neglecting my poor craft room! I realized that I needed to get some Valentine's done for myself as I have to mail them out soon. I have been dealing with a little bit of a "block" for designs so I went on over to Pals Paper Arts and they had a great sketch:

Here is what I came up with:

I always say use your supplies so that is exactly what I did. I used a base of Pretty in Pink, some Early Espresso as a layer and some Early Espresso toile that I had. I used one of my favorite sentiments sets "Well Scripted" and Sending Love DP. I really love the combo of pink and brown. Thanks for stopping by!

A little motivation!

Evening All,
I had such a crazy day at work that I decided I needed to carve a little crafting time for myself tonight. I needed to make some Thank You cards for some of my wonderful students and found myself a little short. I was also a little short on inspiration so I went on over to the Friday Mashup and they had a great sketch and challenge:

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project with the "Sketch."
  2. Create a project using "the theme of Time. "
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a project "a theme of Time & the Sketch."

I decided that I wanted to stick to this great sketch and here is what I came up with:
I used a base of Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party and some Comfort Café DP that I had squirreled away. I used the flower from Simply Sketched and colored it with my Blender Pens. I punched out my sentiment and I was done. It was nice to pull out some of my flowers for a change! Have a great night!

I also had a chance to make my Thank You's for my January club.

I used my Snowflake EF and my awesome Silver Foil ink. I used the sentiment from the Simple Sketched Hostess set. A little bling and I was done. I love the look of dry embossed white, very classic! Have a great night!

A little more caught up!

Hi All,
Well with the snow I was canceled from school and was able to make my second card for my club. I wanted some cheerful color and, after all the Christmas cards, wanted to see some flowers. Here is what I came up with:

I used a base of Wisteria Wonder, Basic Black and the Afternoon Picnic DP. On the Very Vanilla panel I stamped the background with my Gorgeous Grunge and then stamped the flower image from the Simply Sketched Hostess set. Some Wisteria Wonder Twine and dots and I was done, Thanks for stopping by!
