I need a little Mojo!

Hi All,
I wanted to share what feels like the first card in "forever"! I had finally gotten a chance to go on over to Mojo Monday and they had a great sketch:

Loved the shapes! Here is what I came up with:

I was SO excited, as I finally got a chance to break out my Kind Koala stamp and used my blendabilities to shade the cute little guy with his flower. I was also able to use the Lullaby DP that is available in the catalog. Love the colors and the patterns! I used a base of Pistachio Pudding with Baked Brown Sugar that I had run through my stripes EF, An in-color Dahlia and some ribbon and I was done! I definitely needed this sketch to get me refocused!

Back to the land of the living!!

Evening All,
Well after one of the sickest weeks I can remember on record I am actually starting to be able to do more then move from the couch to the bed and back! Yeah me! Wow this has been one nasty bout! Anyhow I had tons of time to surf this week, as that was the most strenuous activity I could tolerate, and I saw this great sketch at The Paper Players. Check it out:

And here is what I came up with:

I am in need of some Thank You cards and decided that my pieces of Sweet Sorbet DP would be perfect! I had a base of Pool Party and ran the Whisper White through the stripes embossing folder (sadly soon to retire) and used some candy dots for some interest. I borrowed this sweet carriage stamp from a friend and heat embossed it in Pool Party. Fun sketch! Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Happiness

Morning All.
Well am home another day sick! Gotta love it!! Anyway I am going to be doing a workshop at a friend of mines home this month and she LOVES Halloween! So here is the card that I am going to demonstrate:

I colored the Halloween Happiness Stamp then added some rhinestone's. I used a base of Tangerine Tango and ran it through the Big Shot with the Stripes EF versa marked so that I could use my Heat and Stick Powder and add the Black Glitter. I roughed up the edges of the White and Basic Black and I was done. Very easy card but with a lot of appeal!!! Have a great day!

Yes I AM here!!

Hi All,
Finally feeling a little bit better! Boy its bad when you don't even have the energy to ink up a few stamps!! Well I decided to play along with Freshly Made Sketches this week as they had ANOTHER great sketch!!
I decided to do a Halloween themed card for a little fun. I hope to present this at a new stamp club of co-workers and really want them to fall in love with my favorite hobby! Here is what I came up with:
I used three different stamp sets. Of course I used my current favorite "Perfectly Preserved". I had seen a few Halloween variation with the jar and knew I wanted to try it out. I added the spider web and sentiment from the Wicked Cool set and Spider from the Spooky Bingo Bits, Added the new stripped ribbon over an embossed panel with a splash of color from a piece of DP and voila I am done! Totally fun! thanks for stopping by!

Friday Mash Up!

Hi All,
I was in the mood for a challenge last night so I went on over to Friday Mash Up to see their challenge of the week. I was definitely not disappointed!
So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:
  1. Make a project using " Black N' White Only ."
  2. Or Make a project with " Some Bling ".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a " Black N' White Project with some Bling! "
I thought their challenge would be perfect for a Halloween themed card that I wanted to present to some new stampers next month! Here is what I came up with:
I decided to "mash it up" and use Black and White and definitely add some bling!! I used some Rhinestones and Iridescent "Ice" heat embossing powder for my bling. I ran the Basic Black panel through the Stripes Embossing Folder and used my favorite ribbon; White Organza around the panel before using my new Apocthery Accents Framelits to create a neat little white space for my "Frightening Feline". Here is a close up of the "blinged" out cat!
Gotta love the Rhinestone eyes! Hope they like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Wicked Cool Challenge!

Hi All,
I love it when I am able to be productive and actually complete most of my "to do" list! I had a goal of finishing my Great Aunt's Halloween cards (among many other things) this weekend and was very inspired by the sketch at Stampin Queen's Challenge:
SQSC-003
Here is what I came up with:

I had a base of Whisper White, ran the Basic Black panel through the Striped Embossing Folder on the Big Shot, used some of my left over Night and Day retired DP and used some of the cool images from the "Wicked Cool" Halloween set. Added a white grosgrain ribbon and I was done. Hope she likes them!
Thanks for stopping by!

Another perspective

Hi All,
Well since there was a tornado warning for where I live, I decided to hang out in my crafting room...in the basement! So I decided to take a different perspective on the Cottage Window card I shared yesterday. yesterdays card had you looking out, while today I have you looking "in"!
I used some more of my retired Night and Day paper for "creepy" wallpaper, the stripes embossing folder and some interest with my "Spooky Bingo Bits"! I cut out the window, the wall paper, Frankenstein and my "bats"! I thought the stripes folder made the house look like it had siding! Another very simple but fun Halloween card! Bring on the rain!

Clean and Simple Halloween

Hi All,
Sorry for my slight disappearance! My knee and back was very sore and I couldn't sit for any length of time to create. Course the heat doesn't help either! Had a better start to my day today so I decided to play with one of my favorite new sets, "Cottage Window". I am also still trying to finish up my Halloween cards and think I have found a favorite:
I used glossy paper to stamp the window, cut it out and stamped the spider with Staz on. Then I stamped the pumpkins on more glossy paper and colored the window and pumpkins with my wonderful Blender pens and mounted the pumpkins on the window sill with a dimensional! I used some of my retired Night and Day paper for the wall paper and ran some Basic Black through the Stripes embossing folder and placed some Whisper White as the chair rail. Hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin Queens Challenge

Hi All,
I am very excited to share today's Halloween card! I had gone on over to Stampin Queen's Challenge and they had a great sketch:

SQSC-004

When I saw this sketch I immediately imagined the images from Spooky Bingo Bits peeking out. So here they are:
I used some of my retired "Night and Day" DP, ran the Basic Grey paper through the Big Shot in the Stripes Embossing folder and placed a piece of Satin Ribbon on the bottom piece. Love the look and its easy peasy!  Thanks for stopping by!
